Why Self-Esteem requires ACTION

We are currently living in a sedated society where most people lack skillsets in communication, active listening, and vulnerability.

A trapped generation on how things were and where they are going.

States of inaction, lack of integrity and follow through seep through in work, dating, relationships and lifestyle.

To top that off, most humans allow a fear of rejection and avoidant tendencies to run the way they show up in the world.

Avoidance being the numbing out of facing oneself, your fears and your truth.

Scrolling, addictive patterns, freezing and not doing anything, running away, pushing back or turning to what's comfortable or familiar.

Most of these behaviours stem from low self-esteem, self-worth, and self-love.

The higher self esteem you have the less external validation you need and you will always keep committments to yourself.

Because when no one is watching it feeds our self-image. An instruction manual of what dictates our story.

Self-esteem is in the ACTION it requires exercise and movement towards what you want. It's in the DOING and the habits we build upon.

Whether that be in having a hard conversation, telling someone how you feel or going to the gym. It all strengthens or weakens our sense of self.

High self-esteem is important for being able to step out of one's comfort zone and be different.

Ways to build self-esteem include:

- Self compassion practices
- Set achievable goals
- Keep small commitments to self
- Consistency in small steps
- Surround yourself with people with high self-esteem

Noone sees the world exactly how you see it.

Noone has been through your experiences.

Noone can read what's on your mind.

Start there, share who you are with those who tickle your funny bone and make small steps towards who it is you want to be in the world.
